I would go to Charleston, Hilton Head and Savannah! Or you can skip Hilton Head if you don't want the beach. Just be careful when selecting hotels. Charleston & Savannah both have pretty bad neighborhoods.

Depends on what you like :) Both cities are small so you can see everything in a day probably. Or you can take is slow. Also there are nice plantations right near Charleston. We spent a day there on Christmas and it was wonderful (although cold)!

Hilton Head is just nice and relaxing. I love all the trees and the beach and crocodiles and turtles :) I like the Sea Pines "section" of the island. It is non-commercial with bike trails etc.

Savannah is smaller than Charleston I think. So a day or two will be enough most likely.
