Поскольку выражение "it's just a theory" я до сих пор слышала только в применении к дарвинизму, я заинтересовалась и полезла выяснять, что это за доктор Wile такой.
Оказалось, он написал много учебников для хоумскулеров, и все они начинаются со слов "Exploring Creation". Из примеров, выставленных на вебсайте, я надергала несколько цитат. Просто ради интереса, раньше как-то мне не попадались такие учебники.

You see, many animals with extremely sharp teeth, like fruit bats, certain monkeys, and some bears, eat only fruit and other plant parts.
Since we have touched on a classification system that has been inspired by the hypothesis of evolution, we should at least mention a classification system that has been proposed by those who believe that the earth and the life on it were specially created out of nothing by God. This
classification system, usually called baraminology, attempts to determine the kinds of creatures that God specifically created on earth...For example, some baraminologists place domesticated dogs, wild dogs, and wolves into the same baramin because they believe that God created
a basic kind of creature called a “dog,” and the various forms of dogs and wolves that we see today are simply the result of that basic kind of creature adapting to a changing environment. Although we think that there is a lot of evidence in favor of this new classification scheme, we
still do not think that it should be used in this course. It is still relatively new and not fully developed.

Well, if scientific laws are not 100% reliable, what is? The only thing in the universe that is 100% reliable is the Word of God. The Bible contains truths that will never be shown to be wrong, because those truths come directly from the Creator of the universe. So much misery and woe have
come to this earth because people put their faith in something that is not reliable, like science.
Unfortunately, as science began to ignore the authority of past scientists, it also began to ignore the authority of the
Bible. That’s the bad part of the change that occurred during the Enlightenment. Despite the fact that a biblical worldview had brought about the very science they studied, some scientists began to question the truth of the Bible.

Чисто из любопытства вопрос: если вы поддерживаете систему государственных ваучеров в образовании, считаете ли вы, что ваучеры должны также платить за школы, где преподавание ведется по этим учебникам?
