Not really. There are (or were) other kinds of leftists (Jacobins, Leninists (aka "communists"), Maoists, Trotskyists, fascists, national socialists (which aren't exactly the same as fascists, by the way), ALF and similar environmentalists, etc). Similarly, there's a lot of non-leftist political philosophies (monarchism, republicanism, classical liberalism, minarchism, various kinds of anarchism, etc).

However, of all leftist movements Obama's positions are closest to "myenshevik" Marxism. McCain is a neocon, which makes him a Trotskyist.
