То есть позиция примерно такая: пока палестинцы не договорятся с Израилем, США не будут поддерживать формальную легитимизацию палестинского государства.

Ну, это уже не ко мне вопрос. Главное, что понятно: под two-state solution в данном контексте понимается не существование там двух государств в принципе, вообще - а политика давления на Израиль с целью ускоренного признание палестинского государства.

Я поняла это так, что на переговорах может быть достигнуто two-state solution, а может быть и какое-то другое решение. Или это просто неудачный поворот фразы и подразумевается "мы будем добиваться мирного договора, но не исключаем как альтернативу плюнуть на это дело"?

Я же поделился своим прочтением. Типа, если раньше создание палестинского государства было целью (одной из целей), то теперь этой цели не будет. Типа, мы в принципе вовсе не против, но это уж как палестинцы с Израилем договорятся.

Это прочтение имеет смысл, но тогда comprehensive peace deal не лезет ни в какие рамки. Впрочем, не буду придираться к неаккуратным словам, я просто надеялась, что кто-то расскажет мне, что возможна другая основа для мирного договора.
